On April 25, a massive 7.8 earthquake rocked the fragile nation of Nepal, leaving much of historic Kathmandu in rubble and shattering many thousands of lives.

The earthquake is the worst to have struck Nepal in 80 years. Survivors have little refuge, as the earthquake struck in a densely populated area where many people live in already-precarious conditions. They have few resources to survive and recover without our help.

With extensive facilities in Nepal, our parent company – Tufenkian Carpets – has consistently sought to give back to the rich land and industrious people of this small country.

We can help these courageous people by making a donation to Mercy Corps’ Nepal Earthquake Response Fund. With long ties and deep roots in Nepal, Mercy Corps is responding to urgent needs in the hardest-hit areas, and our gifts will deliver the lifesaving relief and resources families need to recover in the days ahead.

Our generosity can help save lives and strengthen the people’s determination to rebuild their communities. The Tufenkian Foundation has agreed to match donations up to $15,000.00.

Dear friends and supporters, our $15,000 of matching funds for Mercy Corps have been exceeded with contributions to date well in excess of $19,000. Therefore, we have decided to increase our matching funds to $25,000. If you would like to take advantage of these additional funds, please visit www.mercycorps.org.

In addition, we are teaming with our largest partner in Nepal to support those affected most tragically by the earthquake and its aftermath, according to the needs they discover and which are most moving to them.

Please join us in support of our friends, co-workers and their families during this crisis. Thank you for your compassion to those in need.
