Join us at the Tufenkian Artisan Carpets showroom in New York City for a special event benefiting the Tufenkian Foundation’s projects in Shushi, the city that was once the center of Nagorno-Karabagh’s cultural life.

The evening will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music, a performance by members of the Shushi Armenian Dance Ensemble, and an auction for a handmade Tufenkian carpet.

About Shushi
Before it was razed in 1920, Shushi was home to artists, performers, writers and academics—it was known as much for its cultural influence as for its natural, verdant beauty.  In a hard-fought battle, the city was liberated from Azeri occupation in 1992, but has remained a shadow of its former self.

Since 2003, the Tufenkian Foundation has worked to help restore Shushi’s rich cultural and intellectual traditions.
